The Star Trek bug has bitten me hard...again (let's call it my ten-year itch). I can't seem to get enough of it, especially the old series. I really want all of it (movies too) on DVD now. I've fallen in love with Kirk and Spock. (Well, at least now I have somebody to watch when Chekov's not around!) I never really realized before just how good the stories were in the episodes. I think everybody's fabulous. I love the shirt-ripping and the fight music and Spock's occasional emotional outbursts too. The end of Star Trek II didn't used to make me cry, and it's possible that it hits a little close to home with a (suspiciously) similar temporary death of a favorite character from another series (Daniel Jackson in SG-1, season 5), or maybe I just like the characters more. Either way, the whole thing is far more emotional for me now than it ever was before.
I've decided not to watch the summer finales of Stargate, at least not until March when they wrap up the cliffhangers. There's a possibility of not catching up until the DVD set comes out in a year. That's gonna suck. I haven't missed an episode in two years.
Got my car back! It looks great. The decal guy was able to reproduce the stripes on the door so I didn't have to pay to take them off and get new ones. Too bad I only have the car for two more days.
I just saw the most freakin' hilarious video on YouTube of Andy Dick roasting William Shatner. My sides will be sore tomorrow.
