Dec. 13th, 2007 10:56 pmI nicked copied a list of prompts from the 100 Fics LJ, so in theory I should start generating ideas for shortish things. I just need to stop bouncing around fandoms, because that's not helping my concentration any.
Tin Man, by the way, comes out on DVD on March 11, the same day as Stargate: Ark of Truth. Guess what I'll be watching for spring break.
Today I finished my third Firefly video, everything except for the polishing. I now have a craving to watch the series again. Unfortunately, I left everything at school except for the movie. I've also developed a sudden onset of strong affection for Jayne Cobb.
Usually I can knit a hat in a day or two, but this bitch of a cable/bobble hat is trying my patience.

Mar. 28th, 2007 12:01 pmFYI, my Firefly/Serenity video kicks some gorram ass. I've watched the series and the movie again, because I missed them a lot. I wish like hell there was more. My favorite character changed - not like I really had a definitely favorite, but Wash was pretty close, but then he and Simon duked it out and Simon won. But hell, he's still alive, so he's already got a leg up. And I always did like Simon.
I saw a preview online for the next Pirates movie, and I nearly died. I want May to come so bad it hurts. Then, of course, is July, with the Order of the Phoenix movie and THE LAST FREAKING HARRY POTTER BOOK. Summer is going to rock so hard.
I've started where I left off in the New Jedi Order, I think. It just sort of happened. Fine time too, when I won't have time to read for the next eleven weeks.
I, by the way, have pants that fit and new blue shoes that are bouncy so I can do swordfighting class and not get blisters or trip over my feet.

I likes spring break

Because I can only have six of the damn things at once, being too poor for the paid account and too stubborn to show ads, and I was getting kind of tired of the old ones anyway. Also when icon-hunting last night (which always makes me hyper to begin with) I stumbled across some interesting SG-1 spoilerish things. I already knew about the prior thing, but these pics actually have me looking forward to the episode instead of dreading it. Partly I just want to see Vala sitting on Daniel's lap and Jack rubbing his hair (glee!). I am so damn excited for the rest of the series. I'm going to miss those guys.
I finished another video today (woot!), which wasn't easy since the gorram thing crashed on me every two minutes. Windows Movie Maker will be my undoing. But, I haven't been this proud of a video since my Drunken Pirates one and next on my list is a Firefly/Serenity to Bon Jovi's Blaze of Glory. Should be fun, once I spend five days or so gathering the footage.
Hooray for cheesy low-budget made-for-tv Canadian flicks with Michael Shanks! (as well as a gaggle of other Stargate alumni). Well. At least it had acting.
Now to figure out what to do with the rest of my night.
