It's my very last night in this room EVER. Most of my stuff is packed up and the room looks so different and bare with the shelves empty. Most of the posters are still on the walls, because I hate posterless walls (especially white ones) and I'll need something to do when I wait for Sam to come get me tomorrow. I still have so much to do before I go home: I have one more final tomorrow morning, for which I'm getting up early to study. I have work for two hours in the afternoon, papers to turn in, and books to get back to the library. I won't be leaving until after 5:30. This year has gone by so fast it's hard to get my head around it. I swear September wasn't that long ago, and I was just moving in, and when I first walked into this room it seemed so small. But here I am in June, almost nine months later, and I have one more night left and the room doesn't seem so small anymore. This has been the fastest year of school ever. Mayhaps time is slow where I'm from. It will be strange to be in a place where everybody's white and speaks the same language, because I've gotten used to hearing half a dozen languages when I walk down the street, or even down the hallway. I'm looking forward to being in a place where there are cats, and where I can sleep in the morning, and where it's quiet at night. Although it seems like I've only just gotten used to the noise of other people. Figures.

I finished my papers about a half an hour ago, FINALLY. I'm proud of myself. I wrote a five-page paper in two hours, and I don't think it's all that bad. It could probably use a bit of organization and a runthrough, but I'm low on ink and I hate correcting papers on the computer. I've pre-loaded my favorite episode of Doctor Who as a treat for finishing. OH YES BY THE WAY I'm a huge Doctor Who fan as of about two weeks ago. It's the main reason I didn't get the paper written a lot sooner. I'm getting the DVDs as soon as I can. It's just so damn freaking awesome. Not to mention David Tennant is absolutely gorgeous. And Torchwood, while very different as spinoffs go, has awesomeness too. Like every main cast member snogging a member of the same sex at least once, and that's only the first season. For some of them it was each other. God, I love the English.

I may have screwed myself on my German final. But that's what I thought last time, and I came away with 95%. So who knows.

I must now watch the Doctor be awesome.

YouTube removed all the X-Men Evolution episodes. I WAS WATCHING THOSE!!! Now there's only old X-Men on DailyMotion and the animation sucks and there's no Nightcrawler except for one freaking episode and Wolverine looks awful. I am not pleased. At least they still have ReBoot. Speaking of which, I want to try and actually write that alternate S4 fic I planned like five years ago. I'll need something to do over winter break, and writing practice is never bad. Besides, that fandom could use a jump-start right about now. I've been wanting for so long to do the fourth season and do it RIGHT. (And my friends here like ReBoot! I'm so happy I got into the same res hall as these guys.) There's also my LOTR darkfic that's something like 40 pages long right now. I so need to finish that and get it out of my to-do list. I've been working on it for like, two years. I need to write some Stargate stuff. Ack, maybe I'll actually get something done next year.

Today went by far too fast, but part of that was because I slept past 11 and spent the rest messing around on my computer. Last night I was up till 3:30 watching Black Books, which is one of the most hilaious Britcoms EVER. I hope I didn't bother my neighbors from the laughing. One of them was hung over this morning (I know because the sticky note on her door said so).

I was going to study for finals this weekend, but I realized finals are two weeks away, and if I study now I'll forget everything by then. There's dead week, and then I have four days of no classes before my tests. Prime study time.

NICK SANG in last week's CSI!!! Adorable!

After putting my glasses back together this morning I began Half-Blood Prince. I really can't believe how much I've read in just eleven days. Huge portions of this book have completely wiped themselves blank from my mind, and I only read it a year ago. I do, however, find myself remembering quite specific things before I quite reach them in the book, so I guess I haven't quite forgotten as much as I thought I had, but only disremembered it. Things like this include the thing with Dumbledore's hand ( I still can't remember exactly what happened to it, though I have a guess), the part where Harry gets kicked in the face on the train (which I also remembered, along with the scene itself, how much it surprised me the first time I read it), and Fenrir Greyback. That's all I can think of at the moment, I may have forgotten more already. I did not remember how often Ron seems to be giving people the Bird (at least I think that's what he's doing; it just says he makes a 'rude hand gesture') or that the entire Weasley clock is stuck on mortal peril. This book still seems weird to me.

I realise that for people who are not very familiar with the books (which may be one or both of you, I don't really know) this post probably makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and I do not apologise.

My spelling also seems to have become British.
