I've been reading ElfQuest - again -  for about a week and a half, and I've already finished the main storyline (as far as I know; sometimes it's hard to keep up). There are lots of side stories I haven't read, but instead I just want to go back (pardon the pun) and read the early stuff again. It'll pretty much always be my favorite part.

And I have this insane urge to do something like DM of the Rings.

I got screened for TB for volunteering at the hospital, and while I do not have TB, I apparently have a reaction to that particular band-aid adhesive. For three days.

I'm still getting an A in chemistry, and the term is three-fifths over. So unless I bomb the next two tests, completely screw up the rest of the labs, and don't do the homework, I have a feeling I'll pass.

But I can't study today because I have the dumb.

Turns out there's a summer Chem 105 course immediately after 104 that wasn't full, and there was still a Bio class open in fall that fit into my schedule. A couple of tweaks later and I have Mondays off instead of Fridays.

"Here I Go Again" is by a wide margin the most appropriate song I have ever heard on the first day of class.

OMG.
I recieved a letter from Chemeketa saying there was some shit I still need to straighten out to get my Financial Aid, one of which was applying for admission because I haven't attended in the last year. So after registering for summer classes, getting the textbooks, student ID, and a parking permit, I APPLIED FOR ADMISSION.

After doing this, I skipped on over to My Chemeketa and noticed that registration for FALL classes had begun on MAY 29. Late to the party as I always am, I started frantically scrabbling together a last-minute class schedule. The Good News: several EMT classes I need still had spaces, and I was able to make minimum full-time status. Barely. The Bad News: I was able to only barely get enough classes because, apparently, Chem 105 is NOT OFFERED this fall. This means I can't take Bio 231 this fall either, and I have to take another class next summer to catch up before next fall. And for some reason, I'm unable to pay for those classes yet.

This on top of getting my car fixed, issues with plumbing, going through the volunteer process at the WVMC, and preparing for summer classes which start on Monday.

But at least I'll have Fridays off this fall.

Eek.

Next Thursday I'll be signing up for a five-week accelerated summer course in Chemistry 110. Let's hope I do better than in high school, or I can kiss my EMT degree goodbye before I even start.

There is snow, my computer problem is solved, and I have an A- in the class I was worried about failing. Today is a good day.

Okay. So my class registration didn't go exactly as planned. But I think I'm better off. Even if I don't get to take Chaucer and Icelandic sagas, I only have classes between 12 and 3:20 and I get Fridays off. AND IT'S MY LAST TERM. It's going to be all Medieval, all the time.

Assuming I don't fail anything, I'm graduating in March.

FINALLY.

(Today is a good day.)

Changed classes because 20th Century literature is less confusing than my Television Studies class.

Unfortunately, this means I no longer have Fridays completely off. :(

Liking my graphic novels class best of all - partly because it's the only one that's not two hours. And I get to read Batman.

Been watching the 1966 Adam West Batman series with my roomie. We are greatly amused.

Kind of afraid of all the reading I have to do.

NUMB3RS AND SANCTUARY START TONIGHT! ALRIGHT! WOOHOO!

It's looking like I might not have any actual final exams this term.

Ugh.

Beds aren't as soft as they used to be. Re-hiring process. First class of the year. Three-hour desk shift. Lots of reading to do. Need even more textbooks.

SO glad I have Friday off.

d'oh.

So, I dressed like a girl for my concert. And now it hurts my feet to walk. But I looked damn cute.

Classes are OVER! wOOOOOOt!

I am positively CRAVING Atlantis whumpfic.

Next year, since everybody in the freakin' world wants to come to UO, they're stuffing as many students into the dorms as possible. And Jess and I are in the same triple again. So I get to have two roomates next year. Yay.

At least for fall term I'll know both of them. But dammit, it's going to be hella weird.

spaztastic

I know it's time for a vacation when I try to wash my hair with face soap. (I have Glitch's half-brain.) My MP3 player decided to move to Kaputtsville. I'm in my second Tin Man phase, and I'm desperately wanting to write fanfiction. I's excited as hell about Iron Man, Prince Caspian, and Indiana Jones.

I like watching Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader because it makes me feel like a damn genius.

None of my friends write in their journals anymore!!!

Watched a lot of Clasic Who, attached myself to the Fifth Doctor. And I love Four and Eight too. And Jamie, because I've got a kilt fetish. And a Scot fetish. And he was just so damn cute. I'm going to have to like, Netflix a bunch of that stuff this summer. And redo my scarf so I can actually wear it.

I've been ITCHING to make vids. And to write Who fic, because there's nothing good online.

I am so ready for this term to be over.

movies!

Yesterday I saw Cloverfield, which was freaky and kind of awesome. There was a teaser for Star Trek and a trailer for Hellboy II, which I'm going to have to see now even if Jonh Myers isn't in it. With any luck, they'll make a third and he'll be available that time. The movie just looks too freaking awesome to miss. Also there was a promo for Iron Man, which looked neat.

I'm totally on a Numb3rs kick and by the end of this week I should have both of the first two seasons. David Krumholtz is like the hottest guy on earth to me at the moment. Rob Morrow ain't so bad either.

On a slightly related subject, I'm thinking of getting a second bachelors degree, possibly in mathematics.

When did I get so bad at college?

I always think I bomb at least one midterm, but this time I was actually right. My Medieval Britain essay was, apparently, "too short". I've been given the chance to redo it as a take-hope, but it still pisses me off that he expected six pages or more (just because that's what everybody else wrote) when he gave us two days to study for it. I was given until Monday to make it up, which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have another five page paper due that day. This basically means I'm going to be working straight through the weekend. I would have all today, but I had to write a German thing for tomorrow and that took three hours. I want like hell for this term to be over.

Since a good part of this went down early yesterday morning, I didn't really get to enjoy Halloween as much as I usually do.

Nip/Tuck is different this year, but I like it. I will miss the constrant threat of bodily harm that's been a constant through the other seasons, and hopefully they'll bring it back. We missed Criminal Minds last night because we were taping due to an Apples to Apples game and for some reason the TV was an hour behind. Jessica's now completely caught up on Atlantis and Firefly and we're starting to watch Doctor Who. We've seen about half the episodes of Moonlight and are planning to catch up on the rest as soon as we get around to downloading them.

I got paid today, and my paycheck for a partial month was bigger than most of the ones I had last year. Best thing so far about the last two days. Also, two people commented me on my DW scarf. I only wore it for the morning because it was threatening to choke me.

When I'm expected to memorize five times the amount of information that I'm going to be tested on, it doesn't go over well. I'm getting kind of sick of professors who design tests in this fashion.
