music to make you deaf
Sep. 24th, 2006 12:18 amOzomatli played at my school tonight. I think they're famous, or something. It wasn't really my kind of music, but I went anyway because I'd never been to a real concert and I figured that, no matter what the music, seeing it live is different. There was very loud music, lots of yelling, and absolutely no concept of personal space. I couldn't see the stage very well, but at the end they had students dancing on it. It was enjoyable, but I would have had more fun if they'd been Smashing Pumpkins or somebody I like. Hopefully the rest of my hearing will return by tomorrow. I would have gone to Freebies at Freddie's afterwards but I decided I had enough fun for one night. And my back was freaking sore.
At the concert I ran into a guy I used to work with who goes here. It was oh so nice to see a familiar face.
I tried to take a nap this afternoon but only managed a semi-meditative state. It did refresh a little. I got some sleep last night, but not enough. Slowly getting used to this.
There are like, thirty people in this dorm with iTunes. And I can never get on anybody's music.
