(no subject)

Woohoo, I got my diploma today! It came in the mail. One step up from printing it out myself, I guess. My first degree ever -- Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer from Chemeketa Community College. I am a grad! Now I get to go to Big Kid college and study stuff I'm actually interested in.

I got about five hours of sleep last night starting at 4 am, due to anxiety- and caffeine-induced insomnia. Work is going to be fun today. Note to self: no more midnight Frappuccinos.

My brother comes home from Japan next month or something. I haven't seen him since September. I wish I could go somewhere not America.

Some songs I wrote

I started writing this song sometime last year, maybe Juneish. It's more or less finished except for some polishing and a bridge. It's got music too but I can't play the damn guitar. Yet.

This next one was written just after I read Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.  At the end of the book I had this vague image in my head of the search for the remaining horcruxes and this is an expression of that.

I need more of these things. They keep my fingers busy. I get a wireless connection from McMenamins across the street so when I bring Andromeda to work I get internet! Yay!

It's prom night in McMinnville and these lit-up horse-drawn carriages keep going past the theatre ferrying kids in formal wear. Bagh. They're having more fun than me.
