annual school stomach butterflies
Jun. 13th, 2006 11:36 amI've signed up for UO's orientation program for July 26. I'm a bit nervous. I have never, ever been to a school orientation in my life. I missed it both years at Mac High because I was out of state (first in California, then Alaska), and then I missed the one at Chemeketa because of a flat tire. I've been cursed against going to orientations. But I have to go to this one, because I have to register for my classes! I'm sure that soon the dreams will start again, the dreams about being late, getting lost, and all that wonderful stuff that goes with school anxiety. I'd have all that even without dealing with this big-time college admissions nightmare. I've still got to get lots of vaccinations and send in my health stuff. I don't know who my roommate will be or what kind of room I'll be in (I really hope it has its own bathroom). I'm terribly worried about finding my way around on a campus that size, getting the classes I want, getting my books and shit like that. It's more than three months before I move down there and already I'm getting flighty. I should probably cool it on the caffeine.
There should be classes on how to deal with this stuff.
