After looking up the Finnish case declensions (because I felt like it), I decided to incorporate cases into a language I'm working on for my fake world. I thought it might be fun to make the language really complicated, so at the moment there are fifteen declensions (just like Finnish -- I sort of stole most of them). Later on I'll have fun with the verbs. Once I make any. This language is going to be so awesome. I think it will have to be an Elvish language. To make it really confusing, maybe I'll assign genders to the nouns as well. It might be a good thing nobody has to learn this language. Except for me, and I like a challenge. Linguistics are so unbelievably cool. I'm going to have to take a class. I want to put Greek and Latin to shame.

Half the people in my building (hell, half the people on campus) have a cold, including myself. Mine went from sore throat to hoarse throat to stuffy nose. This morning I sounded awful.

I watched Battlestar Galactica with a couple of guys from the building tonight, and actually enjoyed it this time. Finally! I've been trying to like that show for forever. Maybe watching it with somebody else makes a difference. Steve arrived breathless just in time for the show. Before it I watched my first full Doctor Who episode since the first two and thoroughly enjoyed David Tennant.

I saw two girls holding hands on campus today and it made me smile.
