Not much of interest today. I've spent most of it looking up Slavic mythology (which is dead hard to find) and random Norse and Celtic stuff. I tried to print out a translation of the Kalevala but I think it might use up all my paper before I'm finished. Perhaps I should have copied the text to WordPro and put it in columns. Must get paper. I hate reading stuff online. I'd rather have it in print, because first of all, I read more carefully, and I can mark things and keep it around for when I need it. Web pages have a nasty habit of going suddenly and inexplicably extinct. At least I've found a way to get rid of all that extra half-used paper I've been accumulating for the last two and a half years. I'm glad I don't have to teach myself Finnish to read it like Tolkien did. But that doesn't mean I wouldn't.

Finnish is cool, but the most difficult to learn...ever. Dad and I are Finnish and wanted to learn a few words, we were told to not bother. I know the words for "good girl" and "seagull".

You know what you just did? You made me really want to try. I can't resist a challenging language. College astronomy is hard. But I still aced it.
