Happy Birthday to me!

Of my entire family, my brother was the only one to send a Happy Birthday message. I did get presents and a card from Mom and Dad, but I was kind of expecting a call. This being my first birthday away from home and all. I'll call them tomorrow and bitch about it.
Presents included: from parents, crazy-ass socks, the last remaining Smashing Pumpkins CD I didn't have, and a new battery and 1-gig memory card for my camera. From Jessica (my friend upstairs), an ADORABLE stuffed puppy (she said I needed a stuffed animal), pirate baind-aids, and a book of Billy Collins poetry (he spoke at our convocation and was hilarious). She also bought me lunch and Quizno's and we spent most of the day after classes in her room pretending to do homework and raiding each other's music collections.
Overall it was fine as birthdays go, even though the snow I requested ended up being slush. If I don't have too much homework tomorrow I want to join my dorm's knitting circle so I can get some work done on my damn scarf. I really could have used it this last week.
