st_jane_ambulanceTen Things I Love About Who (because it's going around the Doctor Who lists and I've got nothing more important to do)
in no particular order
1. The TARDIS. -- It's a blue Police Box that's bigger on the inside. 'Nuff said. (Though by the way it keeps missing the intended date and/or destination, she may need a tune-up.)
2. Two Hearts. -- It's a thing I have. Like guys in glasses or somebody being thrown against a wall and snogged. Best of all, Ten has been all three of those.
3. Timelords. -- For crying out loud, could any species have a cooler name? Is there anything harder to understand, let alone master, than time itself? Screw the Ancients. The Timelords could have wiped them from all existence. If they didn't agree with their non-interference policy.
4. Traveling in Time and Space. -- Seriously. There is nothing in the world I could want to do more. And if I have to do it vicariously, through a tv screen, then so be it. I'm just saying, if there was a Doctor, and he needed a new companion, I would be first in line.
5. School Reunion. -- Oh, Giles, you have been bad. And I need not mention the Doctor's reaction to seeing Sarah Jane. He has the most amazing reactions to surprises. In other favorite moments, Rose and Sarah Jane talking about the Doctor, and laughing uncontrollably at him when he walks in on them.
6. The Face of Boe = JACK FUCKING HARKNESS (or whatever the HELL his name is). -- And the Doctor's (once again, amazing) reaction to same.
7. Jack's Universal Sexuality. -- Because we as a world have needed a character like this for so, so long.
8. Gallifrey. -- The beauty of the name, the sadness of its fate; I literally lean forward every time I get to hear the Doctor talk about it.
9. His Shoes. -- I HAD to get a pair of Converse All Stars after seeing Ten wear them. Unfortunately, the classic style has as-yet unresolved issues with my feet.
10. The Tenth Doctor. -- The first to make me really want to watch Doctor Who. My spine tingles whenever he gets whumped (and believe me, that doesn't happen as easily as it used to, much to my lament - no further comment need be necessary). I shall mourn the day he becomes Eleven. Unless, of course, he's somebody I really, really adore. I seriously doubt anyone on my list will make it.
