st_jane_ambulanceI was cruising stop_the_badfic, and they talked about somebody whose art I used to admire on Elfwood back when I had a gallery there (oh I don't know, like, five years ago). She was also an aspiring writer, and it seems like a few years ago she actually got something published.
Apparently, her story was "repackaged" Legend of Zelda fanfic, so sayeth the poster (among others), and her books didn't do so well. Damn. It's kind of scary to find this out, years later. I do remember thinking that the description of her main character was a real nancy, and that may have been what inspired me to make mine more feisty and less like a wilted flower. Thanks for that anyway, Adele. Sorry your book totally bombed.
I need to start writing, now, so I don't find out I suck AFTER I publish a book.
I also need to go toFuckedupFanFiction.Net and start bitching like there's no tomorrow.
In other news, I finally caved and upgraded to the Plus account. (It does NOT seem like there are three times as many layout options.) I'll probably get sick of the ads eventually and switch back to basic. But first I'm going to have fun with a decent number of icons and my custom mood theme. *squee!*
