Last night's foray into the realm of badfic communities (all of whom lovingly refer to FF.N as "The Pit") prompted me to go through my old stuff today (much of it making me want to scream "Why? WHY?"). And though I have not finished anything recently (as in the last three years, gah), I think I'll be posting some of my old things. Because frankly, some of them are quite hilarious. In this post, the old and abandoned -- at least that which I can bear to look at.

What I will not be posting: Story Wars. It's too long, and too silly. It wasn't really a story as such, just a random distraction from the trauma of school and adolescence, there are too many characters, and the plot is iffy at best. It was just some brainless fun. It may be noted, however, that if I'd ever gotten around to the redo I had planned a few years ago, that would have been awesome.

Also, some of the short stuff I did when I was just starting to write fanfiction, each one worse than the last. Most horrible of all are a Moulin Rouge alternate ending (which wasn't such a bad idea, if only I hadn't screwed it up so bad) and a short Scrubs whumpfic that was so awful I never even typed it up.

Anyhoo, here's some stuff I wrote.

This one is actually not fanfic and was abandoned very early on (for good reason). I was in my Jack Noseworthy phase, and wanted to write a ghost story. I completely forgot about it until about a year ago when I dug it up going through stuff. It was to take place in the future, apparently. For some reason it was written all in cursive.

Ghost

    Cody Harates looked up at their new house. It was old-fashioned, made of natural wood and was built clear back in the mid-late twentieth century. And it was very big.
    Cody didn't like the idea of living in the country, away from the Cities. The Law had made their colony move away from their City and into the country so that Bernham would be less crowded. Cody had never lived in the country. He'd been there once, when he was seven. That had been eight years ago.
    "I don't like it," said Shawn, Cody's little brother as they moved their things out of the hovercraft. "It's really old. It looks haunted!"
    "I hope not," said cody's twin sister Sara quietly. The house before their last one had been haunted by incredibly evil spirits. Their last encounters with the ghosts had nearly killed them. Cody's older brother Justin had been in the hospital for two weeks.
    The house was gigantic, four floors which included an attic. As Cody looked up at the attic, he thought he could see someone in one of the windows. cody shifted his gaze to that window, but there was no one there.

This was just an idea I had several years ago, and the only reason I never wrote it was because I wasn't sure how to do it. I still get a kick ouf of the idea.

Bill & Ted Do Star Wars

Ted = Luke Skyrocker
Bill = Han Drum Solo
Rufus = Ben Van Halen

Leia Acoustica
Big Evil Dude (Darth Vader)
Royal Ugly Dude (Emperor Palpatine)
Chewbacca "Chew Dude"

Later I'll post some of my longer unfinished bits, my Lord of the Rings stuff (one of which actually is finished), and maybe, just maybe, the portion of the Dungeons & Dragons movie slag I tried to do (ick! eww!). That is, if I don't die of awful.

I would also love to post the transcripts of Happy Hogwarts Fun Hour. Once I correct all of Erica's spelling mistakes and my typos.
