Sep. 13th, 2006 10:42 amI had my two-year eye exam yesterday. While I did not really enjoy waiting for long periods of time and having my eyes numbed and poked at, I did enjoy hearing words like "mild" and "stabilized" and "functioning beautifully." Although my condition is pretty uncommon, apparently it could be a lot worse. I feel very lucky. I most likely won't ever need contacts or surgery unless something else comes about.
I've been thinking of finding an international penpal because I like writing letters but have nobody to write to. The main problem is finding somebody who can actually write. You wouldn't believe the ads on the sites I've visited. I saw one or two that looked acceptable. I will have to do some more thorough searching. Of course, if my roommate and I get along well, we might be writing each other after she goes back to Japan.
