Been watching Quantum Leap all week, and pretty glad I finally decided to give it a try (thanks, Chuck!) because I've always liked Scott Bakula. The guy kinda radiates awesome. AND he's a babe. (Next up, Enterprise!) Sam Beckett is wholly made of Win and Al isn't too shabby himself.
But kids on the show? Morons. Every one. They all seem to have their entire lives hinging on the most ridiculous things; stuff like running away and destroying their lives because Grandpa wasn't really as badass as the kid thought. Seriously, kid, you're twelve. You should know by now that people are fallible. Some of the adults aren't much better, either. And then the fifth season got a little weird. Not in-your-face different, except for the theme music remix, but something seemed a bit off. I felt the "evil leaper" idea was a bad one the minute I read the description, but that wasn't even all of it. Some of the charm was gone. And the minute I read that it had a Bolivian Army Ending, I decided not to watch the finale.
But then there are the really good episodes and it never seemed to be afraid to "go there" and it kept things fresh and Scott Bakula looked strangely at ease (and hot) in drag and there was that time he went into labor and...
Heh. Ahem. Well, I still have a number of Disc Only episodes to catch up on! :D
