I'm plotting from the Hero's Journey now. Should give the story some kind of structure to follow, and if I find a tangent that seems cool while writing, I'll follow it and maybe have a nifty subplot.

This story really does need much more background. Oh well, rewrites!

What do you mean Nip/Tuck isn't on Hulu this year? Great thanks, now I don't get to see it. >:(

It's my 500th post on LJ yay!

Let's talk entertainment.

Shows start again this month - most of them. Unfortunately, I don't have TV, so I have to watch what I can online. Here's what I'm looking at and what I'd like to see happen this year.

Fringe - Meh, I don't care so much about the show in general, especially the direction it seems to be taking. Mostly I'm interested in Walter and Peter and their getting to be proper family again. AND WHY THE HELL PETER'S NAME IS ON THAT TOMBSTONE. Okay, I like that other guy too. That one agent. I forget his name.

CSI - Season fucking TEN. Jeezus. I've been watching since season three. And seriously, something needs to happen to Nick this year. It's been way too freaking long. And I want to see Bobby Dawson again, dammit.

NCIS - Poor Tony. Will he and Ziva ever mend those bridges? ETA AND I WANT MORE JIMMY PALMER DAMN IT ALL

Numbers - I failed to completely catch up with the last season. I need to do that.

Castle - Mmm, Nathan Fillion.

Trauma - Paramedics? Cliff Curtis? That's all I need to know.

Sanctuary - SANCTUARY!

Stargate Universe - I shall give it a chance. Mostly because of Robert Carlyle. And it may have something to do with Brad and Robert having a history of making good shows.

Nip/Tuck - I hope it's better than last season.

Unfortunately I will not be watching Criminal Minds, one of my favorite shows, because it's not fucking available online. >:(

Nip/Tuck is back! More baggage for everyone!

I altered my new jeans yesterday. All by myself.

When did I get so bad at college?

I always think I bomb at least one midterm, but this time I was actually right. My Medieval Britain essay was, apparently, "too short". I've been given the chance to redo it as a take-hope, but it still pisses me off that he expected six pages or more (just because that's what everybody else wrote) when he gave us two days to study for it. I was given until Monday to make it up, which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have another five page paper due that day. This basically means I'm going to be working straight through the weekend. I would have all today, but I had to write a German thing for tomorrow and that took three hours. I want like hell for this term to be over.

Since a good part of this went down early yesterday morning, I didn't really get to enjoy Halloween as much as I usually do.

Nip/Tuck is different this year, but I like it. I will miss the constrant threat of bodily harm that's been a constant through the other seasons, and hopefully they'll bring it back. We missed Criminal Minds last night because we were taping due to an Apples to Apples game and for some reason the TV was an hour behind. Jessica's now completely caught up on Atlantis and Firefly and we're starting to watch Doctor Who. We've seen about half the episodes of Moonlight and are planning to catch up on the rest as soon as we get around to downloading them.

I got paid today, and my paycheck for a partial month was bigger than most of the ones I had last year. Best thing so far about the last two days. Also, two people commented me on my DW scarf. I only wore it for the morning because it was threatening to choke me.

Last night I downloaded the Catherine Wheel album I've been wanting for ages but could never find. I LOVE IT. Now I just need to get my hands on a blank CD so I can burn it and re-upload it to put it onto my MP3 player.  I dislike the way iTunes works that way. Creative is much more lenient, but they don't let me download the shows I miss. Sometimes compromises must be made.

My box from home came today (one-day shipping! that was fast!) and now I can use my smaller backpack again and my pirate costume is finally all in one place. I can't wait to wear it. I still need to get a hat, and maybe I'll find a suitable sash somewhere. I don't know if Saturday Market is still going this time of year.

The previews of Nip/Tuck for next week just about made me die. Christian whumping!! I'm absolutely sure he's not going to die, because I don't think the show would work without either one of the guys, but it will be hella fun. Fortunately Halloween movie night is on Saturday. But even so, I could get it on iTunes. Which I still may do anyway.

My phone works again! I made two new ring tones (SG Atlantis and old Battlestar Galactica themes) and accidentally wrecked two of my old ones. Daylight savings time is coming up, and just in time because I nearly fall asleep in my Geology class EVERY DAMN TIME and they seriously need to turn off the AC in that building because I wasn't the only one in there this morning freezing my ass off. Lucky for me all my winter clothing came in that box today. I'll be all bundled up for the midterm. The professor also told us that hats aren't allowed during the test. What the hell is that all about? If it was about hiding answers, I would think a sleeve would work just as well. I want to know why no hats. May we wear clothes, or should that be considered cheating?

I'm so hungry right now. I need to start keeping around some snacks.

I think the caffeine in that mocha I had this morning finally kicked in.

It's my German teacher's birthday on Friday. He'll be 24. I am not kidding. The guy is three months older than me and he's already teaching at a university. Some days I just feel like I'm way behind in life.

Mom's Spanish class was cancelled (again!) and today in the bookstore I found Spanish magnetic poetry and got a box for her. I'll be loads of fun to mix it with the English poetry we already have. I think she ought to just continue to learn the language on her own, because she studies more for that class than any college student would.

I finally put money on my laundry card and lugged my laundry bag down to the basement (with my knee still hurting). And guess what? No detergent. I swear there was some down there last week. Guess I'll have to buy some. Unfortunately, I spent the rest of my cash on my laundry card.

Nip/Tuck tonight was so damn awesome. The first few minutes were to fucking die for. "Honey? What are you doing in the closet?" They were wearing matching shorts!! SO CUTE!!!

I finally saw Linnet today! Apparently she lives only a couple of blocks from me.

Geology class: interesting, but I was half-asleep because some maintenance guys were running loud machinery on the street at 8:30 am. It doesn't help that I'm still not getting a decent amount of sleep, and I blame that largely on the bed. Mom and Dad offered to bring down a twin futon mattress to put on top of mine, so I can sleep on something more comfortable and familiar.

Mom sent me an e-mail today. Dad just taught her how to do it, but she hasn't quite got the hang of a keyboard. Half the letter was in caps, another bit in italics. It was a very amusing read.

My first day on the job was basically training. We shelved a few books, then made sure some more were in order. It will be a nice, quiet job. And I'll learn where absolutely everything is. Also, I learned some technical library terms like "range" and "section." I walked around on the ground floor before my shift started and found the language part of the reference area. I was in heaven.

After dinner I spent most of the evening downstaris in the rec room. One of the English guys brought over Animal House from Barnhart and we spent about ten minues figuring out how to hook up the VCR to the television. Some of the scenes in the movie were filmed here. After playing ping pong for a bit and watching others play pool (I tried last night, and I absolutely blow) I watched Nip/Tuck with another fan. I hope there are Lost fans around tomorrow, and CSI fans on Thursday. Looks like I might not need my own tv after all.

I don't think I'm eating enough for the amount of energy I'm expending, because I'm almost always hungry. Maybe I should use some of that huge chunk of meal points I have leftover from last week.

Wore my Boondocks Saints shirt and got LOTS of compliments.

There is a Canadian dictionary in reference. I shit you not.

House and Nip/Tuck are back! And I think I died during both.

Aside from the phone ringing every five minutes, and my car being in the body shop, and being out of water, today was swell. I found kick-ass boots at Goodwill with big heels and buckles that will be great for my pirate costume. They come up to mid-calf. Also, my Stargate mag finally came out today. And House has no cane.

Christian is in love with Sean!?! Asgdlkk;amnffdjh!!!! I'm so happy I could die. Last year I was on vicodin for the premiere but this year I got a better high (plus no constipation and very little nausea!). He's just having a little bit of denial. He was willing to cut off his own hand last year to save Sean's fingers! If that's not love, I don't know what is. That show is such a drug.

I want a television in my dorm or someone's going to get hurt.

My last book was supposed to have come today and it didn't. So I e-mailed the seller and gave him hell. Three weeks my ass. Never screw up orders to a young lady on her period.

I'm seriously considering dyeing my hair pink. Of course, then I would look like Tonks instead of Harry Potter. Hmm, maybe a Halloween costume idea. If only I could change my appearance at will. I also have costume patterns for a lady pirate and a few Arwenish dresses, and I had thought of going as an albino. So many choices. But somehow I don't think a pink-haired Middle-earth lady would work.

House and Nip/Tuck start a week from today! WOOT!
